Z Master Professional 5000 Series mowers offer rear discharge decks for increased productivity in taller grass. These EFI models also use up to 25% less fuel than equivalent non-EFI mowers. The rear discharge design allows operators to trim on either side of the deck — no need to change direction to avoid discharging debris on roadways, sidewalks or flowerbeds. Clippings are dropped within the path of the mower, saving time and cleanup.

Maintenance Service Interval	Maintenance Procedure
After the first 100 hours	Check the wheel lug-nut torque. Check the wheel-hub slotted-nut torque. Adjust the parking brake.
After the first 250 hours	Change the hydraulic filters and hydraulic fluid.
Before each use or daily	Check the safety-interlock system. Check the engine-oil level. Check the seat belt. Check the roll bar knobs. Clean the engine screen and the oil cooler. Check and clean the hydraulic-unit shrouds. Inspect the blades. Clean the suspension system.
After each use	Clean the mower deck.
Every 50 hours	Check the spark arrester (if equipped). Check the tire pressure Inspect the belts for cracks and wear. Check the hydraulic-fluid level.
Every 100 hours	Lubricate the mower deck-lift pivots. Change the engine oil(more often in dirty or dusty conditions). Check and clean engine-cooling fins and shrouds.
Every 150 hours	Inspect the primary filter(more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
Every 200 hours	Change the engine-oil filter(more often in dirty or dusty conditions). Check the spark plug(s). Replace the fuel filter (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
Every 250 hours	After the initial change—change the hydraulic-system filters and fluid when using Mobil 1 15W50 fluid.(Change it more often under dirty or dusty conditions)
Every 300 hours	Replace the primary air filter(more often in dirty or dusty conditions). Check the inner air filter(more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
Every 400 hours	Grease the caster pivots (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
Every 500 hours	Replace the spark plug(s). Check the wheel lug-nut torque. Check the wheel-hub slotted-nut torque. Adjust the caster-pivot bearing. Adjust the parking brake. After the initial change—change the hydraulic-system filters and fluid when using Toro® HYPR-OIL™ 500 fluid.(Change it more often under dirty or dusty conditions)
Every 600 hours	Replace the inner air filter.
Monthly	Check the battery charge.
Yearly	Grease the pump-belt-idler arm. Repack the caster-wheel bearings(more often in dirty or dusty conditions). Greasing the caster-wheel hubs.
Yearly or before storage	Paint chipped surfaces. Check all maintenance procedures listed above before storage.
